This July 4, 2025, Winter Park is once again pulling out all the stops for one of the most anticipated nights of the year. The Winter Park 4th of July Celebration, presented by Mountain Parks Electric and Guzman Energy, promises an evening packed with live music, community fun, and a stunning drone show that lights up the mountain sky.
Whether you’re a local or visiting from out of town, this celebration is your chance to spend Independence Day the Colorado way—surrounded by fresh air, beautiful views, and a warm, welcoming crowd at the Rendezvous Event Center.
Admission is free. The experience? Something you’ll remember long after summer ends.
What to Expect at Red, White, & Buckstein
The festivities kick off at 6:00 PM sharp. You’ll want to arrive early to pick the perfect spot on the grass and settle in. Bring the kids, pack a picnic, and prepare for a night that offers more than just fireworks. You’ll find games like cornhole and bocce ball, plus a complimentary photo booth where families, couples, and groups of friends can snap a memory or two before the music starts.
At 7:00 PM, the main act, Buckstein, takes the stage with his signature blend of country grit and mountain soul. Known for powerful vocals and high-energy performances, Buckstein brings a sound that fills the air and gets the crowd moving.
Once the band wraps up around 8:30 PM, DJ Jen G keeps the energy going, spinning upbeat tracks as the sun dips behind the mountains. Then, at around 9:45 PM, the skies come alive with the Brightflight Drone Show—a modern twist on the traditional fireworks display that fills the night with color, light, and motion.
The event is designed with all ages in mind. It’s loud enough to feel exciting, calm enough to enjoy a picnic, and spacious enough for kids to roam safely. And with free admission, there’s no pressure—just bring your own blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy the night your way.
Take note: Smoking, vaping, and pets are not allowed at the venue. This keeps the event comfortable for all guests and lets the clean mountain air do the rest. There will also be an event photographer on-site, so don’t be surprised if your smiles show up in next year’s promotional materials.
Stay Close to the Celebration
After the music fades and the drone lights go dim, you’ll want to wind down somewhere that feels just right. That’s why many guests pair their July 4th experience with a stay at The Jabberwocky, a private mountain home just minutes from the event venue.
Instead of sitting in traffic or rushing to get home, imagine stepping into a cozy living space, changing into something comfortable, and sipping a drink on the deck while the cool evening air settles in. Our fully furnished kitchen lets you reheat that picnic food or prep something fresh for the next day. It’s not just a place to sleep—it’s a chance to stretch out and make the most of your holiday.
Staying the night also opens up the rest of Winter Park for exploration. From local shops and breweries to hiking trails and scenic drives, your July 5th doesn’t have to be an afterthought. It can be part two of your perfect weekend.
